We are greatly saddened by the death of Viki Fox, our Trustee.
As our Trustee at St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity for nearly 5 years, Viki contributed greatly to developing our work, strategy and approach to tackling homelessness. Her involvement with the Charity was deeper – she worked closely with the Scottish Frontline Network and All in for Change projects which we support, championing the cause of frontline workers and amplifying the voices of people with lived experience to Government.
Viki was humble but passionate and committed to improving policy and practice, drawing on her own lived experience of homelessness and domestic abuse which she spoke about bravely and openly. Viki was warm, friendly and approachable, making everyone she met feel comfortable and giving her advice freely, yet always a forceful advocate for change.
Viki gave so much to us and many others across the homelessness sector in Scotland and across the UK. Her legacy and conviction that homelessness was not inevitable and change is achievable will continue to inspire us. Our thoughts are with all of her colleagues, family and friends.
