While St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity does not provide direct homelessness services, we work closely with organisations across the UK that do. We’ve brought together trusted sources of advice, housing support, funding information and specialist services to help you find the support you need.

Local homelessness support

These organisations can help you access housing advice, support services and local assistance:

England

• Homeless Link or Homeless Link England will help you find a homelessness service close to you.
• Crisis provides practical support, housing advice, employment assistance and learning opportunities for people experiencing homelessness.
• Shelter England offers expert housing advice, legal information and support to people facing homelessness, eviction or poor housing conditions.
• Citizens Advice Bureau provides free, confidential advice on housing, benefits, debt, employment and a wide range of everyday issues.

Wales

• Shelter Cymru provides independent housing advice and support to people experiencing housing difficulties or homelessness across Wales.
• Citizens Advice Bureau provides free, confidential advice on housing, benefits, debt, employment and a wide range of everyday issues.

Scotland

• Shelter Scotland offers expert housing advice, legal information and support to people facing homelessness, eviction or poor housing conditions.
• Citizens Advice Bureau provides free, confidential advice on housing, benefits, debt, employment and a wide range of everyday issues.

Northern Ireland

• Housing Advice NI provides specialist housing and homelessness advice, helping people understand their rights and access housing support.
• Homeless Connect is a directory of homelessness services in Northern Ireland, helping people find local accommodation, support and advice.
• Citizens Advice Bureau provides free, confidential advice on housing, benefits, debt, employment and a wide range of everyday issues.

London

• Praxis provides free immigration advice to people in London.
• The Connection at St Martins day centre at Trafalgar Square – offers meals, showers, IT, housing advice and various support.
• The Passage near Victoria Station, supports people experiencing homelessness through day services, accommodation support, healthcare, employment assistance and outreach programmes.

Grants and Funding

• Shelter can provide guidance on housing costs, benefits and financial support available to people struggling to maintain their housing.
• Turn 2 Us helps people access welfare benefits, charitable grants and other financial support through its advice tools and grants search service.
• End Furniture Poverty helps people find organisations that provide essential household items, furniture and white goods to those experiencing hardship.
